Resources to Teach Writing

I’ve compiled lessons from almost 30 years of teaching young people and adults in urban settings, giving workshops, and blogging at the local and national level—all of which are available for you to purchase.

Join me in helping students—especially low-income students of color—write for the 21st century.

Student Engagement Lessons from the Pandemic and UChicago Consortium on School Research

During the pandemic, the UChicago Consortium studied Chicago Public Schools students’ engagement in grades 4-12 during the pandemic. I partnered with the Consortium to bring this research to educators who work with low-income students of color through the Prep Period podcast.
